Well, here we are. Just two weeks remaining until the playoffs.

Some teams have already been eliminated, and are just hoping to finish the season with something positive, while others are scratching to make it in. Other teams are locked in, and some will battle for conference titles over the next two weeks.

There were not many changes as far the top teams go, but we did have a few surprises this week.

With that being said, lets jump off into the rankings!

Week 9 Class 2A Rankings

There is not much change here at all.

The same teams are up top, Bearden, Junction City, Hazen, McCrory, and Des Arc. All of them will be legitimate playoff contenders.

I feel one of the teams listed here will be State Champions of Class 2A.

Week 9 Class 3A Rankings

Charleston remains at the top of the rankings. They will remain there until they are beaten. Fountain Lake continues to look solid, and has all of the tools needed to return to Little Rock in December.

Harding Academy is looking really good as well, and I personally am looking forward to the Week 10 match up between #5 Prescott and #6 Rison for the 7-3A Conference Championship.

Week 9 Class 4A Rankings

Nashville and Shiloh Christian remain atop the Class 4A rankings, and will do so throughout the playoffs.

Booneville is looking really good with their 8-0 record, and do not be deceived by Warren's 5-3 record. Their 3 losses came in the preseason to stout opponents from higher classifications, who are all ranked as well.

Keep your eye on Dumas. They may be a bit of a sleeper team come playoff time.

Week 9 Class 5A Rankings

The Monticello Billies have distanced themselves as the team to beat in Class 5A. Sadly, the team who I think would be the best match up for Monticello in a State Championship game, if they are to make it that far, will potentially play them before anyone ever dawns the gates of War Memorial Stadium.

That team is #2 Greenwood. A very solid, tradition rich team who is doing very well, and coming off of a nice win this week, despite several key starters being out with the flu.

Camden Fairview is on a bit of a late season streak as well. Could they be hitting on all cylinders at the right time?

Week 9 Class 6A Rankings

El Dorado and West Memphis continue to separate themselves from the pack, and remain in the top two spots this week.

Watson Chapel holds down the #3 spot, while Lake Hamilton and Pine Bluff finish out the Top 5.

Speaking of El Dorado, they have won several close games in the regular season. Will they be able to continue to do so in the playoffs, or will a close game eventually bite them?

Week 9 Class 7A Rankings

Wow, was there a shocker in Class 7A this week?

Bryant absolutely dominated previously undefeated Cabot. Many were wondering if Cabot was a little under-rated, but that argument was rendered null and void by Bryant on Friday night.

Har-Ber and Bentonville still hold down the top two spots, and a big Week 10 match up between these two will decide the 7A West Conference Championship.

A big shout out goes to Rogers Heritage as well. They are sitting at #8 this week with a 6-2 record, in their second year of varsity football.

ArkansasVarsity.com Overall Natural State Top 10

Har-Ber and Bentonville remain atop this ranking as well, while Bryant moves into the #3 position.

Fayetteville makes a jump into the ranking to the #4 spot, while El Dorado, West Memphis, Monticello, Watson Chapel, Greenwood, and Cabot round out the Top 10.
